TOURING NEW ZEALAND

Kia Ora! Welcome to New Zealand – Aotearoa – The land of the long white cloud.

New Zealand is a world of pure discovery! New Zealand was undiscovered and had no human inhabitants 800 years ago. Wherever you go in New Zealand, you’ll be embraced as one of our own. Here, fascinating stories, captivating experiences, and legendary landscapes await you.

New Zealand has been voted the ‘best travel destination’ by Lonely Planet two years in a row! The Rough Guides, which produces travel guides, also voted New Zealand among Top Three Most Beautiful Countries in the World. They said, “there is nothing like an amazing view to inspire you to book your next trip, whether you’re drawn by rolling countryside, isolated islands or soaring mountain peaks”. Described as having “rolling green hills, majestic mountains, breath-taking fjords and amazing diversity of landscape from one island to the next,” New Zealand beat out the likes of Italy, Iceland and South Africa.

New Zealand is a land like no other. It is a natural playground for thrill seekers and adventurers and those who simply want to visit for the culture and landscapes. Tucked away in a remote corner of the globe is a place of glorious unspoiled landscapes, exotic flora and fauna, and a culture renowned for its sprit of youthful innovation. New Zealand has the 9th longest coastline in the world. Around one third of the country is made up of protected National Parks. With more than 400 golf courses, New Zealand has the highest number of gold courses per capita in the world. And, there are no land snakes in New Zealand.

Although it is around the same size as United Kingdom, Japan or California and about 75% of the size of Germany, New Zealand’s population is just over four million, making it one of the world’s least populated countries. Population Density in NZ is about 14 persons per square kilometre (compared to UK with 240, Germany 230 and Japan 330 persons per square km).

New Zealand is among three closest countries to Antarctica along with Chile and Argentina. It has average max. temperatures of about 20-30ºC in summer (Dec. to Feb.) and 10-15ºC in winter (June to Aug.) making it one of the great tourist destinations of the world, year-round. New Zealand’s 29 regions stretch more than 1,600 kilometres across two main islands (North Island and South Island). Each destination is distinctive in character, and with the country being so compact, you can easily visit several on your holiday.

New Zealand is jam-packed with popular destinations, spectacular places and activities. The hardest part of planning your holiday will be deciding which to do first!
